In the rolling hills of the Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape, you will find the Black Pot homestay where we will offer you a unique personalized experience. Come and experience the tranquility of a Xhosa village where tradition and culture are very much alive.
Our homestay accommodation is ideal for off the beaten track travelers, 4x4 enthusiasts, fishermen, cyclists, trail runners, hikers, off road motor cycle adventurers, beach lovers and is the perfect place to recharge your batteries.
Wander through the village on a guided tour meeting the local people or hike over rolling hills to pristine beaches and lush lagoon gorges. Sit back and relax while we prepare South African home cooked meals for you. After spectacular sunsets and wondrous star gazing, retire to one of our 2 traditional rondavels.
Access to our accommodation with a regular vehicle is possible except after heavy rains. A 4x4 is best for sightseeing.
ABOUT
OUR ROOMS
Accommodation is in two authentic rondavels (round house).
The rondavels are off grid with solar lighting. Cellphone and laptops can be charged in the main house. There's no telly or DSTV to numb your imagination.
Cost is R370 per person per night includes DINNER, bed and a light breakfast.

2 x single beds
Bedding is provided.
The shared bathroom is designed to blend outdoors with indoors allowing you to enjoy nature in total privacy.

My partner and I felt welcomed, had a great time with Theo and Debby who who very kind to welcoming. We wanted a night in a quiet place as we traveled up the coast. After arriving early Monday , Theo and Debby brought us to a local lagoon were Theo picked Oysters and mussels. We had a fabulous braai in a stunning location. The roundhovels are classic African, and the sunset, it needs to be seen. Will definitely return.
